  • !! An Album From The Little Indians: October 9

    Hey everyone!

Finally, on October 9th, we’ll release our record that we’ve aptly titled, ‘An Album From The Little Indians’.  We’ll release it independently from our “label” Blue Room Records.

We made the entire album at my home in Maryland in my blue bedroom. The majority of the songs were conceived, demo’d, recorded, and mixed right in my home.  Considering I had never made any recordings before, it was truly an awesome learning experience

We had some higher hopes for the release (shows, some physical releases, collaborations, etc.), but unfortunately we’ve had a few things hinder that:

For one, I’ve spent the last many months playing in my good pal Forrest’s band, Hellogoodbye.  I love his songs, I love him, I love everyone in the band, I love the vibe of it all and I’m grateful to have the experience.  Unfortunately though, that’s meant that The Little Indians hasn’t really had an opportunity to expand into a full (or even part) time act yet.  We’re hoping this will change with some time.  Forrest is spending the coming months creating a new Hellogoodbye record…which trust me, I’ve heard the demos, is going to be beyond stellar!  So while he’s doing that, let’s play some shows!

Also, Kyle has had to move back to Chicago for family reasons.  It had to happen.  I’ll be bouncing all around as I have been for the last little while.  So if any promoters would like to book us in Chicago (and anywhere else), let’s do it!  We have a record that we’re super proud of and are dying to perform for anyone and everyone.

We’ve been holding onto the record for a few months, like I said, in hopes to have a more proper release…however, I’ve begun work on a new batch of songs that I’m getting more stoked on by the day, so we decided we’ll just put this one out and let whatever is going to happen, happen.  It’s my hope that someday we’ll be able to press some vinyl copies of the record and maybe do some limited edition handmade stuff as well.  But for now, it’ll just be digital because that’s what we can get into your ears right now.

Come October 9, you’ll be able to purchase our debut on iTunes and Bandcamp, and you’ll be able to stream it on Spotify.

You can head to our Bandcamp page now to pre-order the album and stream a few new songs.  And if/when you pre-order, you’ll get an immediate download of three new tunes to hold ya over.  Also worth noting is that the record contains reworked versions of all three of our previously released tunes (Think Twice, Let’s Split and What Makes You Grin?)

I’m really excited for you to hear the album.  I like to think that it’s a diverse collection of songs that ebb and flow and tell a story.  Not like a concept record or something, but you know, just thematically.  Ever since I was a just a very little dude, music has brought me an unexplainable sense of joy and happiness (even the sad songs).  I started making music because all I want is to bestow that same feeling upon someone else.  I hope that person is you!

    xoxo
